Venue Schindler House 835 North Kings Road, West Hollywood, CA 90069 Phone: 323-651-1510 Web site Schindler House is operated by the MAK Center, supported by the Austrian Museum of Applied Arts (MAK) in Vienna, the Republic of Austria, and the Friends of the Schindler House, in the spirit of experimental architect and social utopian Rudolf M. Schindler. MAK Center offers a year-round schedule of exhibitions, symposia, lectures, performances, workshops, and publications and hosts a residency program for visiting artists and architects. One program presented at the MAK Center is sound., a series of performances of experimental music, produced by SASSAS (The Society for the Activation of Social Space through Art and Sound), curated by SASSAS founder Cindy Bernard, with changing team of Los Angeles area musicians and artists. The Schindler House is located 4 blocks east of La Cienega and 2 blocks north of Melrose on the west side of Kings Road, behind a bamboo hedge.
