The Skirball Cultural Center's mission is "to explore the connections between four thousand years of Jewish heritage and the vitality of American democratic ideals. It seeks to welcome and inspire people of every ethnic and cultural identity in American life. Guided by our respective memories and experiences, together we aim to build a society in which all of us can feel at home." It features "an extraordinary museum, changing exhibitions, engaging music, theater, comedy, film, family, and literary programs and more."

In the realm of music, Skirball presents a series of concerts on Thursdays (Sunset Concerts) and Saturdays (Cafe Z), that cover a wide range of music from around the world (jazz, African, Brazilian, Balkan, etc.).


Skirball Cultural Center is located in the Sepulveda Pass, near where Mulholland Dr. crosses the 405 freeway.

From the 405 north, exit at Skirball Center Dr., and turn right (south). Follow Skirball Center Dr. across the freeway to the west. Cross over Sepulveda at the light and enter the driveway to the Center grounds. Proceed around to the right and up the hill (north) to the Center parking structures.

From the 405 south, exit at Skirball Center Dr., and turn right (west). Cross over Sepulveda at the light and enter the driveway to the Center grounds. Proceed around to the right and up the hill (north) to the Center parking structures.
