There is a raised table-seating area for dinner and additional tables, seats and bar for drinks. The cuisine is authentic Salvadoran, very tasty and affordable. On Monday nights, Andrew Campbell and Robert Jacobson present a series called Ear Orchard Mondays (formerly Jazz on a Monday Vibe) that presents original jazz and progressive music. Music begins at 8:30pm, sharp. Music cover charge is $10 ($5 for students). On Thursday nights, Cryptogramophone presents a series called CryptoNight that covers local and touring new music and jazz artists, curated by Jeff Gauthier. Music begins at 8:00pm. Music cover charge is $10 ($5 for students with ID). Club Tropical is located in northeastern Culver City, on Washington Bl. two blocks east of Helms Av., on the northwest corner of Washington and Sherbourne Dr. There are a few parking spaces directly in front of the restaurant, and some surrounding street parking. There is also a large parking lot one block to the west, behind the business complex on Washington and Helms, with entrances on both Hutchison and Helms. From the 10 freeway east, exit at Robertson Bl. The exit runs into a short stretch of Exposition Bl. and comes to the intersection of Robertson and Venice Bl. with a 3-way light. Turn soft-left (east) onto Venice, and go two lights to Helms Av. Turn right (south) on Helms and go one block to the light at Washington. Turn left (east) on Washington, and the restaurant is two blocks over, on the near left corner. From the 10 freeway west, exit at Washington Bl./Fairfax Av. Turn left (west) under the freeway onto Washington and go through lights at Fairfax and La Cienega. The restaurant is seven more blocks west, on the far right corner.
