Eclectic Orange Festival
An annual series of eclectic presentations by the Philharmonic Society of Orange County during six weeks in autumn, including premieres of commissions from contemporary composers (subscribe to announcement list)

Green Umbrella
LA Philharmonic's new-works series, at the Walt Disney Concert Hall

Ground Flor/Inside the Spurgeon
Monthly electronic music gathering, with listening music, DJ/dance sets and visual arts, on the first Saturday of each month at The Spurgeon Building in Santa Ana's Artist Village, Orange County (subscribe to announcement list at the top of the web home page)

Il Corral
Private noise and sound-art venue with some punk/metal/weird-rock interspersed, hosted by Bob Bellerue/halfnormal (more information)

Jacaranda
Chamber music series covering a range from historical to contemporary at First Presbyterian Church of Santa Monica, Mark Alan Hilt, artistic director, Patrick Scott, series producer (more information)

LACMA Music

LACO

Lira Productions

Commissioning Clubs:

LACO Sound Investment
For as low as $200 per household per season, you can participate in commissioning a new work for the Los Angeles Chamber Orchestra, and attend work-in-progress gatherings with the composer, a rehearsal of the finished work, and the world premiere.
